You Were Just There

I do not consider anything.
I lay on my side of the bed
anticipating your return, the moment when you press your body to mine, in any position, you mimmick my form, and, just, fit. As I lie on my side, head propped on folded arm, waiting, a single tear slides from my eye, down my face, my arm, and onto my pillow. Your imprint is still on your side but its cool to the touch now. You were just there. I lay, anticipating your return although I know you will not.
